One FC jawan martyred, two injured in Balochistan terror attack

Rawalpindi: At least one security personnel was killed and two others were injured when terrorists attacked their vehicle in Balochistan’s Lorelai on Saturday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the media wing of the army, an FC vehicle carrying soldiers was passing through the Shahrig area of ​​Loralai when the terrorists opened fire on it.

“FC troops retaliated promptly and killed 3 terrorists,” the ISPR statement said.

During the firing, Naik Sharif embraced martyrdom, while Major Qasim and a soldier were injured in the attack. The bodies and the injured have been sent to CMH Quetta.

Condemning the terrorist attack on the FC vehicle, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed termed it as a cowardly act. He expressed condolences to the family of Naik Sharif.

“Terrorists cannot demoralize our forces by carrying out such cowardly attacks,” he said.

Earlier on June 25, five soldiers of the Frontier Corps were martyred in an attack by terrorists in Sibi, Balochistan.

Militants had targeted an FC patrol in Sangan in Sibi district.

An ISPR statement said that during the firing, the terrorists suffered heavy losses in men and material.
