Earlier in December the urban legend was ‘captured’ An incredible 30-second clip that shows a large human-like figure flying over a stationary cargo ship, over waters off shore.

The blurry clip appears to confirm claims from pilots from early last year that they had seen someone fly a jet pack as they approached Los Angeles International Airport at 3,000 feet in August.

In August 2020, there were two calls reporting sightings, one pilot called and said: ‘Tower, American 1997, we just passed a man in a jetpack,’ and another pilot said, ‘ We just saw the man passing by us. jetpack’

Weeks later, another was seen of a man who was reportedly flying through the air with a jet pack at an altitude of about 6,000 feet near LAX.

No explanation was given for the sighting for months, and some experts suspected it might have been a larger drone.

But now it appears the real culprit was a balloon shaped like the popular Tim Burton character, not nearly as technologically advanced.

Retired airline pilot and aviation consultant Ross Eimer NBC News that the drawings of the Skellington balloon match the description of the pilot.

‘It now suggests that this could possibly be what they saw,’ Amer said.

According to Aimar, the pilots’ report of a person on a jetpack made sense as jetliners descend at high speed and at first glance the balloon may appear to be a person.

“There is a very good chance that the previous ones were also balloons and that the pilots mistook them as jetpacks,” Emmer said. ‘It’s a better explanation for me and for the aviation community.’

But despite the new evidence, officials have not ruled out other possibilities and the FAA and FBI have said the jetpack investigation is an open investigation, NBC News reported.
