Milwaukee (CBS 58) – Milwaukee police arrested four teenagers during a carjacking and vehicle chase downtown on the night of Monday, November 8.

According to 11th District Alderman Mark Borkowski, a woman carrying her child was the victim of carjacking.

Police say it happened around the 38th and Manitoba around 6:10pm

Two accused armed with guns stole the woman’s vehicle and other belongings. As a bank manager, this included a set of bank keys.

Milwaukee police worked to secure the bank, and around 8 p.m. Monday, District 5 officers saw a vehicle that had been stolen and wanted for an armed robbery.

Officers attempted to stop traffic near 16th and Keefe Avenues, but the driver refused to stop and followed a vehicle.

The chase ended when the driver walked into a yard and the occupants fled on foot.

Police say four people – a 13-year-old, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old – were taken into custody after walking on foot.

The police have recovered the pistol and items looted in the robbery.

Officials say these men are believed to have been involved in several robberies on the east side of the city.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office in the coming days.
