NYPD Sergeant Charged After Setting Fire Inside Flushing Karaoke Bar

Flushing, Queens – An off-duty sergeant with the NYPD is charged with setting fire to a Queens karaoke bar.

Raymond Wong, 45, who works on the 94th campus in Brooklyn, has been charged with assault.

Investigators say he was involved in an altercation at a Prince Street, Flushing, bar at around 5 a.m. Monday and may have been assaulted.

During this he fired several rounds.

No one got injured.

Sergeant Wong has been suspended for 30 days without pay.

Three other men are in custody and charges are pending.
