‘No care for the poor’: PPP President Bilawal dismisses petrol price hike

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Monday that the federal government does not care about the problems of the poor, as he rejected the recent hike in petrol prices.

In a statement, the PPP president said, a liter of petrol has been increased by Rs 10 in a month. [increasing petrol prices] To meet his own expenses.”

The PPP president said that Pakistan cannot tolerate high inflation.

“The incompetence of this elected government is stopping Pakistan from moving forward, Prime Minister Imran Khan knows nothing but lies and political torture,” Bilawal said.

The PPP chairman asked the prime minister to withdraw the decision to hike petrol prices and “have mercy on the people”.

“The PPP had kept the petrol prices stable despite the harsh conditions they were facing,” he said.

The government had hiked the price of petrol by Rs 1.71 per liter for August, Shahbaz Gill, aide to the Prime Minister on Political Communications, announced last week.
