Former detective says police have ‘destroyed’ Nicola Bulley’s reputation
Nicola Bulley’s family have broken their silence after police were criticized for revealing the mother of twofaced “significant issues with alcohol”, Which had come to the fore again late at night.
Lancashire Police shared details on Wednesday evening, giving much more information than a press conference a few hours earlier, When he only mentioned “weaknesses” which made him a “high risk” missing person.
In a statement released through police on Thursday afternoon, Ms Bulle’s family said they believed the public’s attention has been distracted by speculation and rumors about finding Nikki and her personal life.
“As a family, we were aware in advance that Lancashire Police released a statement last night with some very personal details about our Nikki,” it continued.
“Although we know Nikki may not want this, people out there are speculating and threatening to sell stories about her. This is appalling and needs to stop.
“The public focus should be on finding her and not making wild theories about her private life.”

Forensic expert says police wants to search again after liquor disclosure
Diving and forensics expert Peter Faulding has said police and experts must “re-invent the search” for missing Nicola Bulley after her “distinctive vulnerabilities” were revealed at yesterday’s press conference.
Speaking to GB News, Mr Faulding said he was “disappointed” that he had not been informed about his alcohol issues.
However, he said it was important to move on, adding: “Whoever made these decisions needs to answer a lot of questions. Let’s not beat the police, let’s not beat the family. Let’s come together again.” Get organized and then do this search again so we can get some closure for this poor family.
