Evander Kane isn’t going anywhere.
The 30-year-old forward announced on social media that he was coming back Edmonton Oilers On a four-year contract worth $5.125 million per year.
Kane played 58 games during the regular season and postseason, scoring 35 goals and posting 21 assists, scoring 56 points and reaching close to a points-per-game pace while playing with Conor McDavid. Kane signed with the Oilers in late January after his contract expired San Jose Sharks,

Kane wrote on social media, “I want to thank the Edmonton Oilers for giving me the opportunity to remind people as a player and as a person.” “A large part of my decision to stay in Edmonton was due to the opportunity given to me not only 7 months ago, but also because of the opportunity to be different. [sic] A championship team.”
“I want to win, and I am confident that after signing this deal we will be able to add the right pieces with us to accomplish that goal, a championship.”
Kane is a former No. 4 overall draft pick Atlanta Thrashers In 2009 and throughout his career he scored 545 points on 286 goals and 259 assists. Edmonton is the fourth franchise Kane has played for in his career.

The Oilers have been active so far this offseason: Trading with Zac Cassian Arizona Coyotes In exchange for draft picks, signing Brad Malone a two-year contract extension, losing defenseman Duncan Keith when he announced his retirement from hockey, and signing Kane a new contract, as he was to return to Stanley the following season.
