It is a common disease in children and adults that causes diarrhea and vomiting, leading to severe dehydration in the case of a child.

At a news conference Friday, Indiana State Police Sgt. Carrie Hulse said: ‘Someone knows something. He didn’t put himself in that suitcase.

“Someone has direct knowledge of what happened in the situation… and we need that person to come forward,” he said.

Strangers are paying for his funeral with donations to the local sheriff’s department. He will be buried this week at a service organized by the department.

The suitcase was discovered by a mushroom hunter in the forest on 16 April.

He didn’t match any of the descriptions for the missing children.

This case is different. I mean, it’s not a case of missing children where we have a child that we know exists.

“We have a child we know nothing about and no one wants to come forward and say, “I know this kid, this is my baby” or “I know that kid,” Hulse told the news conference. How did this kid get there?”

Till now the police have received more than 500 tips but no one has been able to reach them to the people responsible for the child’s death.

There does not appear to be any surveillance camera footage from houses near the forest to suggest who may have dropped the suitcase.

The child is believed to have died a week before the bag was found.
