New Delhi: Music maestro AR Rahman is one of the most respected artists of the country and has been ruling the hearts of listeners with his beautiful compositions. He is not only popular in India, but is also the recipient of several international awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, BAFTA Award for Best Film Music, Academy Award and others.
Though Rahman prefers to keep his personal life away from the limelight, on the special occasion of his eldest daughter Khatija Rahman’s engagement, the musical genius took to his Instagram story to share the news.

AR Rahman’s daughter also shared the good news with her fans on Instagram and revealed that she has got engaged to Riyasdin Sheikh Mohammed. She wrote a note that read, “With the blessings of the Almighty I am delighted to announce all my associations with Riyasdin Sheikh Mohammed @riyasdeenriyan, an aspiring entrepreneur and a Wizkid audio engineer. Engaged on my birthday on 29th December. Happened in the presence of close family and loved ones.
Riyasdin Sheikh Mohammed is an aspiring entrepreneur and audio engineer by profession. Khatija, on the other hand, is a playback singer and the voice behind songs like ‘Faristan’, ‘Pudhiya Manidha’ and others. He has also lent his voice to many Tamil songs.

AR Rahman is married to Saira Banu and has three children – two daughters Khatija and Rahima and a son named Amin.
