Montreal North – Pedestrian hospitalized after hit and run in Montreal Globalnews.ca

It appears Montreal police are investigating after a pedestrian was injured hit and run collision Montreal in the north.

Montreal police spokesman Julien Levesque said a 911 call was received at around 5:50 p.m. about a collision between a vehicle and a woman.

Levesque said it happened on Pie-IX Boulevard near the intersection of Henri-Bourassa Boulevard.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim – a 45-year-old woman with stab wounds to her upper body.

Levesque said she was taken to the hospital and was conscious during transport.

Till 9.30 pm, the police were still waiting for the health status report of the hospital authorities.

Levesque said it appeared the vehicle left the scene before police arrived.

A security perimeter was set up and collision experts as well as investigators were on site on Tuesday evening.
