Police has released its picture suspect in a monterey park mass shooting As officials in Torrance, Californiathere’s a white van that’s believed to be shooter surrounded.

The shooting happened at a dance hall in Monterey Park at about 10:22 p.m. Saturday night. Police confirmed that 10 people were killed and at least 10 others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals in conditions ranging from stable to critical.

The LA County Sheriff’s Department released a photo of the suspect on Sunday afternoon, which shows an elderly Asian male.

Earlier Sunday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna confirmed that some witnesses described the suspect as an Asian male between the ages of 30 and 50 driving a white cargo van.

Police in Torrance, California, which is located outside Los Angeles, identified a white cargo van and surrounded it with police vehicles including SWAT vans and armored BearCat vehicles.

Armed vehicles were positioned directly behind and in front of the van to prevent the suspect from driving away from the scene.

initial report from one ABC 7 Broadcast Suggest the police use a drone to get a better look at the interior of the van.

After using the drone, the officers appeared to lower their weapons, though it’s unclear at this time what, if anything, that meant.

Mr. Luna said it was “too early” to determine whether the shooting was racially motivated, but said “everything is on the table.”

“But, who goes into a dance hall and shoots 20 people?” he asked during a press conference.

After the initial shooting, another incident occurred at another dance hall in the neighboring Alhambra in which an armed man entered the business. According to Mr. Luna, patrons there managed to wrestle the gun away from the man.

Investigators believe the two incidents may be related, and Mr. Luna said that a gun seized from another site may be the gun used in the Monterey Park shooting.
