Marcos Renan Fagunes de Macedo has dressed as Santa Claus over the past three years and did it again this year, distributing toys he bought from donations made by his friends from WhatsApp chat groups. On Sunday, he visited the Vicente de Carvalho II neighborhood in the Sao Paulo coastal city of Bertioga, where he gave away about 250 toys.

That’s when Fagunes de Macedo learned that he had kept the headlights on, thus draining the 1969 Beetle’s battery.
He and three of his friends pushed him down a shoulder lane, getting wet from a rain shower before they were able to drive the car.

Fagunes de Macedo decided to start a toy drive for the holiday after reaching out to his friends on a WhatsApp chat group and buying his late father’s favorite 1969 Beetle earlier this year.
‘I lived in Chile on business for several years, but every year at the end of the year I return to Brazil to see my family and take the opportunity to spend a few days in Bertioga,’ he told a Brazilian outlet. uol,
‘I knew there were needy communities in the city and one day I thought of doing something for them. Thus came Christmas (activity) with the children.’
