Meghan Markle’s paternal half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr and Samantha Markle have spoken following the first three episodes of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex netflix documentary were released on Thursday.
During an appearance on Talk TV with Piers Morgan, Markle Jr. shared his reaction to Prince Harry’s relationship with his wife’s own father, Thomas Markle Sr. Their May 2018 wedding which led to a rift between the former “Suits” actress and her father.
“Of course, it’s incredibly sad what happened. She had a father before, and now she doesn’t have a father. And I shouldered her, because if Meg wasn’t with me, her father would still be her father.” ,” Harry, 38, said in the third episode.
“I think it’s terrible,” Markle. Junior said. “The documentary goes so far on so many different levels. It’s actually a little disturbing.

“Saying he has no family and doesn’t have a father, and Harry is saying he doesn’t have a father anymore. It’s just ridiculous.”
In the weeks before the couple’s royal wedding at Windsor Castle, Markle Sr. was embroiled in a scandal over staged paparazzi photos. After suffering a heart attack, he decided not to attend the wedding.
When Morgan asked Markle Jr. whether Meghan had made any effort to contact her father after he suffered a stroke last May, he replied, “Whatever.”
“None of us have ever been coached or given any help with the paparazzi since the beginning, which has caused a lot of problems,” Markle Jr. said.
“No one reached out. I actually reached out, and all I got back was ‘distant family’ and she ‘doesn’t know us’. It’s so bizarre how she basically just brushed the whole family under the carpet.” Acted like we don’t exist and then lied about not having a family and lied about her not having the family she always wanted. Markle Jr. told Morgan that looking netflix series inspired him to work on his own documentary.

“The documentary is way off,” Markle Jr. said. “It really inspires me to work with my own production team … and our side of a documentary like 2023 that’s going to shed a lot of light that needed to be shed.
The amount of phenomenal files, photos and videos and documents that we’re going to include in our documentary… it’s going to tell a whole different story. I think the general public in the UK and US now know that the Markles are not bad people. We are like a normal family like all other people.

“We exist, and when one person tells a lie and then to cover up one lie with 10 other lies, that’s what happens. You end up looking ridiculous.”
Markle Jr. said he believes their father Had watched the first part of the documentary and shared an update on his health.
Markle Jr. said, “Dad is doing great, making great progress. He’s in good spirits. Sometimes he doesn’t really feel comfortable making live appearances, but he’s doing great.”

“His speech is definitely coming back. We’re making a lot of progress with speech therapy and for the most part, it’s very normal. It stops for a few moments and comes back,” he said .
“I’m so happy that I’ve been here for her every day since this happened in May.”
Samantha also excorted Documentary film, Telling GB News that she didn’t want her father to see it.
Samantha said, “I didn’t want her to see that because like everything, it’s a lie upon a lie.”
Samantha said, “He’s been through a lot – two heart attacks and a stroke – and he enabled it, saw it, did nothing about it. And it’s arrogant for Harry to say something like that.”
Samantha also accused Meghan of lying to Ashley Hale, Samantha’s daughter. Although Meghan has said she never had a close relationship with Samantha, the Duchess of Sussex shares a strong bond with her niece.
In the documentary, Meghan said she was told by the palace She couldn’t invite Hale to her wedding because she wasn’t inviting Samantha.
Samantha said Meghan lied in the documentary when she said the palace would not allow her to invite her niece Ashley Hale to the royal wedding.

“How can we explain that it is not the half-sister who has been invited to the wedding, but the half-sister’s daughter?” Meghan said in the third episode.
“With Ashley, the guidance at the time was not to come to our wedding,” she said. “I was in the car with H. I put him on speakerphone, and we talked to him about what guidance we were given and why that assessment was made … and it’s painful.”
“I think what I said hurt me on some level, but I understood where it was coming from,” Hale said in the documentary, “To know that it was because of my biological mother that this relationship that was so important to me was affected in that way … To feel like it was taken away because of her, it’s been hard.”
Samantha told GB News that a palace insider told her Meghan had decided not to invite Hale.
Samantha said, “Ashley was lied to, and my sister, in fact, was the one who told Ashley she couldn’t go to the wedding.”

“So I felt like she was flirting with my daughter, and it’s really hurtful because my daughter seemed to be complaining and feeling like she couldn’t come to the wedding.”
Representatives for Harry and Meghan did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
