Police say a 24-year-old man is facing charges after stabbing a 51-year-old man in a parking lot in Saskatoon on Sunday.

Saskatoon Police Service A call was made to the 100 block of Shillington Crescent around noon and a man was found stabbed.

Police said the victim reported another man tried to hit him with a vehicle, then followed him on foot and stabbed him.

The 51-year-old was taken to the hospital.

Officers found the 24-year-old and charged him with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and violating an order of release.

Police said the accused made the allegation and the victim knew each other.
