Man arrested after gas line found broken at Lindsay business: Police – Peterborough | globalnews.ca

No injuries were reported and one person was later arrested gas lines found chopped up in a business LindseyOnt., on Tuesday evening.

according to Kawartha Lake Police ServiceAt approximately 5:10 p.m., emergency crews responded to a 911 call with a report of 1 natural gas Leak and someone is yelling at Lindsey at the King Street business.

Police say the building was evacuated and a man was found in the basement.

Investigators determined that the man had intentionally broken the gas lines, allowing gas to escape.

He was taken into custody and first taken to Ross Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation and later remanded back to police custody.

Cameron Bouma, 22, of Lindsey, was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief endangering life and failing to comply with a probation order.

Police say Buma was also wanted on two other warrants at the time of his arrest.

He was additionally charged with four counts of failure to comply with a probation order and one count of failure to comply with an appearance notice.
