Maharashtra Polll Ballotin: Raj takes a dig at own ally

While addressing a rally for Chief Minister Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena’s candidate Shrikant Shinde and Naresh Mhaske for Kalyan and Thane LS seats respectively, MNS chief Raj Thackeray said Sunday that the politics of breaking parties was started by NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar who had broken the Congress several times since 1970s and broke the Shiv Sena twice.

Citing an example, he said state minister Chhagan Bhujbal who had rebelled against Bal Thackeray in 1991, joined the Congress with the help of Pawar. Then, realising that Bhujbal is now in the ruling alliance, and he said, “Now Bhujbal could be sitting here only. But I can say this as I am supporting them from outside and the Fevicol is not applied on us yet,” to peels of laughter.

BJP imports CMs to Mumbai

The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to people during the election season. On Sunday, the party fielded three chief ministers — Pramod Samant from Goa, Bhajanlal Sharma from Rajasthan and Pushkar Singh Dhami from Uttarakhand — in Mumbai to interact with smaller groups. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is also scheduled to campaign in the financial capital.

Will probe Shinde, Chahal: Aaditya

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MLA Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday said that once the INDIA bloc forms the govt, they would put all those who have looted Mumbai under the Shinde-BJP govt in jail. Asserting that whether it is CM Ekanth Shinde or former BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal, no one would be spared, and an investigation would be conducted into Rs 6,000-crore road concretisation contract in Mumbai. Aaditya alleged that the Shinde government was auctioning top posts of IAS.
