Maharashtra: Flyrocks injure five in Pune’s Khardi

At least five people suffered minor injuries and tin roofs of six houses were damaged in a blast to dig a well on the banks of the Mula Mutha river in Pune’s Kharadi area. Police has arrested a person.

The incident took place on the banks of the river near Samadhan Colony in Kharadi at around 6 pm on Monday. The police arrested Ajay Ramlu Dasari (26), a resident of Kharadi, who dug the well.

The controlled explosion was started by using explosives in the river bed, and several pieces of rocks fell on the roofs of nearby houses under the impact of the blast, police said.

Arvind Kumre, sub-inspector of Chandan Nagar police station said, “At least five people suffered minor injuries and roofs of five to six houses were damaged.
