Maharashtra Bandh: MVA blocked the way, rallies in districts, many protesters detained

As part of the Maharashtra bandh in support of farmers, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) staged Rasta Roko and took out rallies in several districts on Monday. The police have registered several FIRs against the protesters and detained hundreds.

As per the information provided by the Maharashtra Police, the Ek Rasta Roko movement was staged by Shiv Sena Workers in Thane City, Solapur City on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway in Kolhapur, Hingoli City and Gandhinagar City in Amravati Rural.

Protest rallies were also taken out by MVA activists in Amravati city, Ratangiri town, Vengurla town of Sindhudurg, Saswad town and Jejuri town in Pune Rural, Kotwali and Gadchiroli in Ahmednagar.

Shiv Sena workers burnt the tire of a vehicle on the road in Akluj town of Solapur Rural. MVA workers took out rallies in Osmanabad, Beed and Jalna. Motor rally was taken out in Bhandara Nagar and Amravati Rural.
