A 16-year-old boy allegedly killed his mother with his father’s pistol after he stopped him from playing an online game in Lucknow and hid his body in the house, police said on Wednesday.
Police officials said the boy killed his mother around 3 a.m. on Sunday, then hid the body in a room and threatened his younger sister not to tell anyone. He said the police had taken him into custody and he would be sent to the juvenile home.
“On Tuesday around 9 pm, the police received information that a woman had been shot dead. Police reached the spot along with forensic team. We interrogated people on the spot. It became clear that the woman’s son is the one who committed the crime,” said Lucknow ADCP (East Zone) Qasim Abdi. “As per the preliminary investigation so far, we have found that this boy was a drug addict. pubg The game and mother stopped him from playing the game due to which he committed the crime. The police officer said, “To mislead us, he said that there is an electrician who comes to his house and commits the crime. But when we asked him for information about the electrician, we found it to be a fake story. We told the boy Have been taken into custody and further action is on.”
The boy’s father is in the Indian Army and is currently posted in West Bengal and the mother, a homemaker, lived with two children at their Lucknow home.
“On Sunday evening, there was an argument between mother and son after some money went missing. He accused her of stealing money which was later found. He felt that even though he was not wrong, he was being accused. He was anyway unhappy with his mother for preventing him from using a mobile phone to play games. He knew where his father’s pistol was kept in the cupboard. He took it and shot the mother in the head, killing her. For two days he did not tell anyone and made his sister get food from outside. Threatened to kill me if I told anyone. He used room freshener to hide the smell,” said the ADCP.
Abdi said that when the father called on the mother’s phone, the boy told him that on Tuesday evening the electrician. “The father called his relatives and they called the police. The boy has confessed and will be sent to the juvenile home. He also has a history of having episodes of anger in the past. He had run away from his house in the past,” Abdi said.
