Lisa Marie Presley memorial to be held this week at Graceland

A public memorial for Lisa Marie Presley will take place on Sunday (January 22) at her father’s former Graceland Haveli, his family has confirmed.

The Foundation, which was established by Lisa Marie, supports a variety of charitable organizations in the Memphis/Whitehaven area with a focus on arts, education, and children’s programs.

In a statement online, the family wanted to thank the public for their “outpouring of love”.

“Riley, Harper, Finley and Priscilla Presley are grateful for the outpouring of support, well wishes, and love for their beloved Lisa Marie,” read the statement posted online.

“A public memorial service for Lisa Marie Presley Arrangements have been made for Sunday January 22 at 9 a.m. on the front lawn at Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.

Hours before Lisa Marie’s death, her mother Priscilla revealed that her daughter had been taken to the hospital.

Lisa Marie will be buried with Elvis and other family members at the Graceland mansion. He will be buried next to his son, Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020.

Lisa Marie was just nine years old when her father died of cardiac arrest, aged 42. He took full control of his estate at the age of 25 and created the Elvis Presley Trust.

In August, she discussed dealing with her loss: “I’ve dealt with death, grief and loss since I was nine years old. I’ve had more than anyone’s fair share in my lifetime and somehow, I’ve made it this far,” she said.
