a LindsayOnt., man has been arrested in connection with a telegram theft this summer.

according to Kawardha Lakes City Police ServiceAt around 4:50 a.m. Thursday, officers spotted a man attempting to enter a delivery truck while the driver was away from the vehicle and making deliveries inside a William Street North business.

Police say authorities have identified the suspect as wanted in several outstanding crimes.

Police say the officer tried to talk to the suspect, who fled on foot. A small search led to his arrest.

Police say the man was wanted in four burglaries between June 15 and June 20, including entering multiple vehicles, removing items from mailboxes and using a stolen debit card at a business. Police say surveillance video helped identify the suspect.

Troy Sprague, 34, of Lindsay, faces a combined 15 charges, including three counts of theft of less than $5,000 and possession of property obtained by felony under $5,000, five counts of failure to comply with probation and One involves entering and counting each of those entering. Acquisition of residence, equipment of sabotage, with intent to enter into a place to commit culpable offense and mischief for ransacking and property.

Police said he was held in custody and would be produced in Lindsay’s court on Thursday.
