The rapper and recording artist has expressed his disappointment that he was left out of the nominations this year.
Earlier this month, he tweeted: “Thank you bet award. An outstanding zero nomination again. Black excellence.” He said he wanted to address the “big problem of homosexuality in the black community”.
They recently shared a new single called “Let’s To The Party,” with cover artwork showing off the BET Awards in a toilet.
“My relationship with BET has been painful and strained for quite some time. It didn’t start with this year’s nominations as most people might imagine,” he told the publication. “They let me perform on their show last year, but only after that” [I gave] assured that I was not a demonic or a worshiper of Satan, and that my performance would be appropriate for their audience.”
As per the report, the network said in a statement, “At BET, we are ardent supporters of the amazing diversity that exists within our community.” “We are committed to using all of our platforms to provide visibility and inclusion for all intersections of the black community.”
