On Twitter, Jaffer – who is the second youngest son of Jackson’s older brother and Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson – said he was “humbled and honored” to play his uncle in the film.

He wrote, “To all the fans around the world, I will see you soon.”

Michael According to a studio statement, it will explore the King of Pop’s fame and controversial legacy, “including some of his most iconic performances that made him one of the greatest entertainers of all time.”

Zafar was selected for the role after a worldwide casting search. King told Variety that “it was clear he is the only person to take on this role.

King said, “I met Jaffar two years ago and was impressed by the way he captured Michael’s soul and personality.” “I am beyond thrilled that he has come on board to portray his uncle and cannot wait for the world to see him on the big screen as Michael Jackson.”

Michael Will be produced in association with the estate of Jackson. While many have speculated about how the film will portray Jackson’s life, namely child sex abuse allegations during the singer’s life and after his death, the studio told Deadline Michael Will not shy away from the controversies of the singer.

Jackson has always maintained his innocence of any and all abuse allegations, and in 2005 he was found not guilty of child molestation.
