Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel Said on Tuesday that a law would be brought soon for population control.

The Union Minister for Food Processing Industries was in Raipur to participate in the ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ at ICAR-National Institute of Biological Stress Management, Baroda.

When asked by journalists about the population control law, Patel said, “It will be brought soon, don’t worry. When such strong and big decisions have been taken, the rest will also (take it).

He also attacked the ruling Congress in Chhattisgarh, claiming that it has failed to achieve targets under some central schemes.

“The state government has been able to achieve only 23 per cent of the work under the Jal Jeevan Mission while the national average of achieving the target under it is 50 per cent. There is no problem of water sources in the state but the problem is management. Similarly, the state could not meet the target under PM Awas Yojana..,” he said.

Earlier, interacting with the beneficiaries of various central schemes during the Garib Kalyan Sammelan, Patel highlighted the various achievements of the Narendra Modi government in the last eight years and said that ‘Service, Good Governance and Welfare of the Poor’ is the core of the Central Government. It’s a mantra.
