Jenny Dan, director of construction and infrastructure services at the City of London, told 980 CFPL that there will be new and ongoing projects in the spring.

“We are really excited to start the Wellington Gateway project,” she said. “This is the first phase of the south phase of bus rapid transit. It is going to be on Wellington (Street) between York (Street) and the South Branch of the River Thames.

“We still have a little work to do on the East and South corridors,” Dan continued. “It’s a big program and we’re trying to do as much as we can with each year of construction.”

Outside the downtown core, Dan says other construction projects include rebuilding the Southdale Road and Colonel Talbot Road intersection into a roundabout and adding dual left-turn lanes at Fanshawe Park Road and Richmond Street.
