Ken Griffin moves from Chicago to Miami after complaints of crime

millionaire Ken Griffin is moving its large hedge-fund firm Citadel from Chicago to Miami, the third major employer to announce move to a corporate headquarters from Illinois in the last two months.

In a letter to employees Thursday seen by The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Griffin said he had personally moved to Florida and that he market making businessCitadel Securities, will also make the transfer. He wrote that he views Florida as having a better corporate environment and although he did not specifically cite crime as a factor, company executives said it was a consideration.
