Mysore/Hasan: A mother of two children was allegedly murdered by her estranged husband in a nearby public toilet. Holenarsipura Taluk Court campus on Saturday. Police said that though the woman was taken to the hospital, she later died.
Chaitra, 25, who worked in a textile factory in Bengaluru, had sought divorce from her husband, 32-year-old Shivakumar. Mangaluru, The couple had been married for seven years and had two children. He attended the court hearing on Saturday.
According to Holenarasipura police, Shivakumar chased Chaitra inside a public rest room outside the court premises and slit his throat with a sharp knife. He was bleeding profusely from the toilet block and sought help from the public. People took him to the hospital, but he later died.
Sources claimed that the couple had agreed to bury their differences for the sake of their children before their lawyer. He had decided to end the legal battle in Public Court Scheduled for the end of this month.
Chaitra leaves behind two daughters aged six and four.
