KARACHI: The city administration on Saturday imposed a complete ban on the display of flags and banners of political and religious parties in the city’s main street, Shahra-e-Faisal.

Karachi Municipal Commissioner Afzal Zaidi, in a notification, ordered the removal of all flags and banners on Shahra-e-Faisal. He also directed to remove unnecessary advertisements from the main road.

Shara-e-Faisal is the main highway of the city that connects the citizens to the business centers and roads leading to different parts of the city.

The officer warned of legal action for violating the orders. After the notification, the authorities started removing flags and banners of all political parties from Shahra-e-Faisal.
