Known as the host of the popular The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil has two children from Ginni – daughter Anaira and son Trishaan.

In an interview to The Man magazine, Kapil said that Ginni was his student in Punjab. He said, “Ginni was graduating in a girls college in Jalandhar, 3-4 years junior to me, and I was studying for a PG diploma in commercial arts in a co-ed college. For pocket money I will attend theater, and visit other colleges. She was my very good student. Now, of course, she has become my teacher after marriage! She was good at skits and histrionics, so I made her my assistant. Then I found out that Madam started liking me, so I explained to her that the car you come in is worth more than what I could put up with my whole family! So, it will not be possible between us…”

Kapil’s stand-up special, titled I’m Not Done Still, will hit Netflix on January 28. In a teaser for the special, the comedian performed a bit His infamous 2016 tweetIn which he tagged the PM and complained of bribing municipal officials despite paying Rs 15 crore in tax per year.

He had said in the interview that with age, he is getting older. “Take things with humour, because there is a lot of tension in the world today. No one should be hurt at the cost of a joke, even if it is a political satire. Being a comedian is a serious job – say whatever you want, but in a humorous way, and don’t offend the listener,” he said, adding, “I’m improvised. You have two drinks with your friends and wonder what’s up with the country… Now, I feel like I should take care of my family, and that’s enough. I don’t want to mess up. When I’m not here, I want people to smile at the thought of my name, and that would mean that my life was successful.
