Actress Kangana Ranaut has filed an appeal before the Dindoshi sessions court against the order of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate seeking transfer of the defamation proceedings against her to a different judge.
In October, the chief metropolitan magistrate dismissed her plea, saying that her allegations seeking transfer from a special magistrate presently hearing the case were “without any reasonable apprehension”.
Ranaut’s appeal states that the court, while dismissing his plea, failed to put on record the arguments for his claims made by the magistrate hearing the case, but “only said that the magistrate without any reason” He has denied the allegations mentioned.
The appeal is likely to be heard next month.
