Joe Biden Tense exchange with ‘interesting’ Peter Ducey ensues Fox News As the president once again took it upon himself to negotiate a deal with the Trump administration Taliban He said that he boxed in his options.

Biden drops off a pre-planned list of reporters, says he was ‘directed to call’ after his remarks on the situation Afghanistan and the terrorist attack that resulted in the death of 12 service members on Thursday.

After working his way through a list, Biden opted to select ‘the most interesting man I know in the press’ as he called out Ducey, who also followed Biden on the campaign trail.

“No US service members had been killed in combat since February 2020,” Dussey told him. ‘You set the time limit, you took the soldiers out, you sent the soldiers back, and now 12 marines are dead. You said that the deer is with you. Do you have any responsibility for the way things have unfolded in the last two weeks?’

President Joe Biden bowed his head while listening to a question from Fox News’ Steve Ducey as he took questions after giving an update on the situation in Afghanistan and the deaths of 12 soldiers.

Ducey asked Biden if he took responsibility for what happened, given that he had ordered the withdrawal of the military.

Biden responded, “I am fundamentally responsible for whatever has happened of late – before pointing to the US agreement with the Taliban for the May 1 departure of all US troops.”

‘You know–I wish one day you’d say these things,’ he said to Doosy. ‘You know as well as I know that the former president had made an agreement with the Taliban, he would get all US forces out of Afghanistan by May 1. In return there was a commitment that was made a year ago… Taliban continues to attack others but will not attack any US forces.’

‘remember that?’ he asked his interlocutor. ‘I’m serious. I’m asking you a question,’ he said to Doosy.

‘Is that right, yes or no,’ Biden said, trying to commit Ducey to an answer.

When Ducey pushed back and questioned him, Biden bowed his head in apparent despair.

Instead Ducey asked about critics of the policy. ‘I think they have an issue that is likely to hurt people. Some have been killed, as we have seen, and this is a mess.’

‘The reason, whether my friend acknowledged it or reported it, why there were no attacks on Americans… The reason was because a commitment was made by President Trump: I would be out by May 1. In the meantime, such a deal was made that you agreed not to attack any American. So no American was attacked.

After the back and forth, Biden said he stood by his decision to pull out.

“Imagine where we would be if I indicated on May 1 that I was not going to renegotiate an evacuation date, we were supposed to be there,” he said.

‘I would have only one option: to bring back thousands of soldiers to fight a war in Afghanistan that we have already won relative to the reason we went in the first place.’
