Jinnah comment: Adityanath attacks Akhilesh, calls him ‘cultureless’

Auraiya/Lucknow (UP), November 6

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday hit out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on Jinnah, saying someone who is “cultureless” cannot be expected to differentiate between a national hero and a traitor. knows.

He was attacking Yadav for his remarks in which he compared Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Without directly naming the SP chief, Adityanath said a leader of a party had recently spoken in the same breath about Sardar Patel and Jinnah, who fought for India’s independence.

Yadav had put together the names of Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters along with Jinnah during a public meeting in Hardoi on 31 October.

“Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Jinnah studied in the same institute and became barristers. He helped (India) get freedom and never backed down from any struggle.

During an event to launch online money transfer in the accounts of parents of 1.80 crore students studying under Basic Education Council at his official residence in Lucknow, Adityanath said, “Remember, if education is incomplete, culture is lacking. If the manners have been lost, you cannot be expected to feel the difference between a national hero and a traitor from that person.”

“If such a situation arises today, it could also be a reason for the lack of interest of the parents of the child in their education. And, hence all this needed to be told in the morning meeting,” he said.

“Often this disorientation starts only when one does not know who is the friend of the country and who is the enemy of the country. When we start weighing the national hero and the traitor on the same scale, then naturally it depends on the capacity of the individual. raises question marks,” the chief minister said.

In Auraiya, earlier in the day, Adityanath warned people against political parties that compare Sardar Patel with Jinnah.

Referring to the achievements of his government in the field of basic education, he said that when his government was formed in 2017, the condition of basic education was very bad, but today it is better and has improved a lot.

Today the attitude towards the Basic Education Council has changed. When the School Chalo campaign was launched in July 2017, the council had 13 million children in schools, but the number of children increased by 50 lakh in three years. Today Basic Education Council schools look different, their colours, different furnishings and the uniforms of the children studying there are visible,” he said.

The Chief Minister also called for promotion of technology and said that online money transfer in the accounts of parents would help in avoiding allegations of corruption in the education department.

Laying the foundation stone of a government medical college in Auraiya and inaugurating other projects, Adityanath said, “A party leader in a speech a few days back had tried to equate Sardar Vallabhbai Patel, who was the leader of India’s unity. were symbols. With Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who divided the country. The entire state should reject such shameful and reprehensible comments.”

“Sardar Patel, who was a symbol of India’s integrity, united more than 563 states with India (at the time of independence). We have to understand the mindset of those elements who are trying to compare Sardar Patel with Jinnah. Sardar Patel united the country, while Jinnah divided the country, both cannot be contemporary (‘equivalent’). Sardar Patel was a ‘Rashtranayak’ (national hero), but Jinnah was the one to break the unity of India We have to be careful of those who are trying to match him.”

Speaking on the law and order front, Adityanath said the image of the state was changing.

“Earlier, the lives of the poor, businessmen and women were made miserable by professional criminals and mafia. Earlier, there was a competition to embrace the mafia elements and get political mileage. But, today everyone knows that bulldozers are running on the mafia and it can also run on those who give shelter to the mafia.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that everyone knows that there is zero tolerance towards criminals. PTI
