Janhvi Kapoor reveals why Boney Kapoor didn’t try to perform – Bharat Times Hindi News

New Delhi: Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently busy with the sale of her upcoming film ‘Good Luck Jerry’, talks about her father and filmmaker Boney Kapoor making her acting debut at the age of 66. Boney will work in Luv Ranjan’s next film. He will play the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s father. Apart from him, the film also stars actress Shraddha Kapoor. Janhvi shared that her father tried not to perform as duties were on his shoulders from a young age.

Janhvi said that Boney was under pressure to maintain the careers of his father Surinder Kapoor and his brothers- Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. If not for these duties, the filmmaker would undoubtedly have tried to perform.


The ‘Roohi’ actress told The Movie Companion that she asked her father to go ahead with the acting offer that she had received. “I said, ‘Do it. Who will get a chance to try a new profession at that age?’ I really think that if he didn’t have the stress of taking care of his father’s venture and brothers careers, he would have tried to perform. You would be able to inform. After work, he used to watch past music films and his Used to act, and I remember mom (Sridevi) being like, ‘I’m so glad you didn’t just turn into an actor, you are such a waste,'” she shared.

Boney has produced films under his father’s banner SK Movies, his private production house Narasimha Enterprises and Sridevi Productions, which was named after his late wife.

Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with ‘Dhadak’ opposite Ishaan Khatter. She was last seen in the horror-comedy “Roohi” and is currently selling her film “Good Luck Jerry”, which will premiere on July 29 on Disney Plus Hotstar.

The actress is currently busy shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Bawal’ with Varun Dhawan.
