Israeli premier says willing to mediate between Ukraine and Russia, if asked

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday he would be willing to consider serving as a mediator between Russia and Ukraine if asked by both the warring countries and the United States.
“If asked by all relevant parties, I would certainly consider it, but I am not putting myself forward,” Netanyahu told CNN in an interview. He said it had to be “the right time and the right circumstances”.
Israel’s close ally the United States will also need to be asked because “you can’t have too many cooks in the kitchen,” he said.
