TEHRAN: Tehran and Baghdad on Tuesday identified “counter-terrorism”, maintaining mutual security and boosting economic cooperation as key priorities during the new Iraqi prime minister’s first official visit to Iran.
Mohammed Shia al-Sudani was received by President Ibrahim Raisi, who expressed hope for strengthening ties that have recently been hit by tensions over Iran’s cross-border attacks against exiled opposition groups.
