Iran raises demands in nuclear talks, enrichment level ‘dangerous’: US envoy

JEDDAH: US Special Envoy Robert Mali said on Tuesday that Iran has made alarming progress in uranium enrichment and is hindering talks on a revived nuclear deal by making a series of unrelated demands.

Talks aimed at salvaging the collapsed 2015 accord in Vienna have been stalled since March, and talks in Qatar failed last week to break the impasse.

Male, said Tehran, “added demands that I think anyone looking at it had nothing to do with the nuclear deal they wanted in the past.”
