New Delhi, June 9

Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against Canadian gangster Satinderjit Singh alias Goldie Brar, who claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Musewala.

The RCN against Brar was issued today on a written request by the CBI, which is India’s Interpol liaison agency. But agency sources said that the request for issuance of RCN was not sent in connection with Moosewala’s murder.

However, the issuance of the RCN paves the way for the extradition of Brar – the prime suspect in Musewala’s murder, along with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who claimed his gang involvement.

Sources said that the Punjab Police had written to the CBI against Brar for RCN in two FIRs registered by them – FIR No. 409 of November 12, 2020 and FIR No. 44 of February 18, 2021 – at City Police Station, Faridkot, sources said. Said, he said that communication to Interpol was sent on June 2, but not on Sidhu Musewala murder case.

Sidhu Musewala was shot dead on 29 May in Mansa district of Punjab.

The Punjab Police has not written anything related to the RCN in the Moosewala case, sources said, adding that first they have to file a charge sheet and obtain an arrest warrant from a court. Based on these, the police will be able to write a letter to the CBI to issue RCN in the Moosewala murder case.
