United States of america citizenship and immigration According to a USCIS press release, the Services (USCIS) welcomed more than 6,600 new citizens in more than 140 naturalization ceremonies between July 1 and July 8.

In FY221, 8,55,000 new citizens were naturalized and in 2022, around 6,61,500 new citizens were naturalized till June 15.

This increase in agency numbers indicates progress in reducing queues pending their naturalisation.

According to We Homeland Security, 34 percent of new citizens in the first quarter of 2022 were from the following nationalities: Mexicans (24,508); India (12,928); Philippines (11,316); Cuba (10,689), and the Dominican Republic (7,046).

During this time America recruited 1,97,148 new citizens.

Whereas, in the first quarter of FY 2021, the top five nationalities viz. Mexico, India, Cuba PhilippinesAnd ChinaAccording to a US Homeland Security report, 35 percent is due to naturalization.

The fiscal year of the US federal government begins on October 1 and ends on September 30.

USCIS Celebrated Fourth of July 2022 Independence Day activities by hosting special naturalization celebrations across the country.
