The tussle between the West Bengal governor and the government was evident on Thursday at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s first state administrative review meeting this year.

If you are under political pressure, you let me know. There is no need to take any other instructions. You work for the state government. I had to intervene to settle a dispute in Haldia. Why do I have to do this when you’re in for a job?”
