In Algiers, the victim was beaten up for 9 days, police in search of kidnapping suspects

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans police are searching for three men accused of stealing from their victim, then held them at a residence in Algiers and left them critically injured for nine days.

Kente Lamothe allegedly hit the victim several times with his hands, causing serious injuries, and also allegedly strangled the victim. The victim reportedly managed to escape from the house after nine days and sought treatment. Police learned that the victim had an active protective order against Lamothe.

Authorities did not release any other information about the victim to protect her identity.

NOPD has obtained arrest warrants for:

  • Kentay Lamothe (DOB: 04-17-1994, 6′1″, 140 pounds)
  • Kimberly Lamothe (DOB: 07-07-1968, 4′11, 198 pounds)
  • Jules Carter Jr. (date of birth: 05-12-1963, 5′6″, 149 pounds)

An investigation into a domestic simple battery and false imprisonment began on October 9, 2021 in a 6300 bulk. Woodland Hwy.

NOPD said detectives also determined that Kimberly LaMothe was present inside the residence when the victim was being falsely imprisoned and assisted in preventing the victim from leaving the home, witnessed the victim’s battery and attempted to kill the victim. made no effort to assist, the NOPD said.

Officials said Jules Carter was present inside the residence where the victim was being falsely imprisoned. Carter was reportedly aware of the incident and made no effort to assist the victim.

Kentay Lamothe is wanted on charges of second-degree battery, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, breach of protective orders and theft.

Kimberly Lamothe and Carter are both wanted for principal to second-degree battery and false imprisonment.
