Imran, Nawaz supporters plan rival London protests

LONDON: PML-N and PTI workers have planned simultaneous protests at the family homes of rival leadership of their parties.

A PTI poster calls on its workers in London to gather in Hyde Park on July 2 and then march to Avenfield House, the UK residence of Nawaz Sharif and his family.

In response, the PML-N has called on its London supporters to gather outside the home of Imran Khan’s ex-wife and Jemima Khan, the mother of their children. “If the followers of Imran Khan come to our leadership home in London, we will come to the house of Imran Khan’s children. It’s so easy,” said a PML-N organizer on Twitter.

Ms Khan lashed out at the PMLN on Twitter, saying, “What’s wrong with these guys @pmln_org? This weekend another mass demonstration was announced outside my 88-year-old mother’s house. This is the third time! What does my mother have to do with Pakistani politics? This is disruptive to him and a total waste of the police’s time.”
