Immediate Recall of Walmart Ground Beef and Burgers Over Deadly E.Coli Link – Do You Have a Pack in Your Fridge?

Authorities have recalled nearly 160,000 pounds of ground beef over concerns that it was contaminated with the strongest strain of E.coli.

The food safety watchdog is concerned that some of the product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.

Cargill is not on the label of the packs. Instead, the front brand is ‘All Natural’. They were introduced on April 26 to 27 and have the ID ‘EST.86P’. pictures available Here,

USDA-Food Safety Inspection Service recall notice Cargill said that when they learned that ‘previously separated product was inadvertently used in the production of ground beef, they reported the issue to them.’

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

specific type of e coli The strain in question is O157:H7, which is known for its ability to cause hemolytic uremic syndrome – a form of kidney failure – which can be fatal.

Symptoms include bloody diarrhea and stomach cramps for two to eight days.

Typically, symptoms of E.coli include severe diarrhea, stomach cramps, vomiting, and nausea. These usually appear three to four days after exposure.

Some people may feel sick quickly, while others may take up to a week to feel unwell.

The USDA said there have been no reports of people falling ill so far.

Individuals at highest risk of complications include young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems.

The raw ground beef item was produced on April 26 to 27. The following products are subject to recall:

2.25-lb. The plastic-wrapped tray contains ‘93% Lean 7% Fat All Natural Lean Ground Beef’ with lot code 117 and establishment number ‘EST’. 86P’ is printed on the back of the label.

1.33-lb. The plastic-wrapped tray contained four ‘Prime Rib Beef Steak Burger Patties’, with lot code 118 and establishment number ‘EST’. 86P’ is printed on the back of the label.

2.25-lb. The plastic-wrapped tray contains ‘85% Lean 15% Fat All Natural Angus Premium Ground Beef’ with lot code 117 and establishment number ‘EST’. 86P’ is printed on the back of the label.

2.25-lb. The plastic-wrapped tray contains ‘80% Lean 20% Fat All Natural Ground Beef Chuck’ with lot code 118 and establishment number ‘EST’. 86P’ is printed on the back of the label.

1.33-lb. The plastic-wrapped tray contains four ‘80% Lean 20% Fat All Natural Ground Beef Chuck Patties’, with lot code 118 and establishment number ‘EST’. 86P’ is printed on the back of the label.
