Duke and Duchess of Sussex Bought a £244 floral two-tiered Strawberry Buttercream Cake for Lillibet’s first birthday – the same baker who made the couple’s wedding cake in 2018.

Harry and Meghan enjoyed the British summer sun and hosted a ‘relaxed’ garden party for their daughter at the Windsor estate over the weekend with birthday cake, balloons, party games and picnic snacks.

East London baker Claire Ptak — who created the couple’s wedding cake in 2018 — brought treats to the low-key bash, including a two-tiered cake topped with a seasonal strawberry buttercream.

Lillibet’s cake bore the young man’s name and was decorated with an array of pink peonies—complete with an Amalfi lemon and elderflower filling and covered in a light buttercream.

On the bakery’s website, the cake is described as ‘three layers of vanilla sponge drizzled with elderflower syrup and filled with Amalfi lemon curd’.

The top and sides of the cake are ‘iced with buttercream flavored with lemon juice and zest from the Amalfi Coast, and decorated with sliced ​​candied Amalfi lemon peel.’

Claire Ptak – who owns the bakery and carefully designed the incredible cake – wrote on the brand’s Instagram: ‘It was an absolute pleasure to make this special cake last week for Lillibet’s birthday. Wishing him all the very best for the year ahead!’
