Narappa is Venkatesh’s debut film on the OTT platform. Directed by Srikanth Addala, the film is a remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil film, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 20 this year. Venkatesh was praised for his performance as the titular character in the film, which received generally positive reviews. The film is based on the novel vekkai Poomani, which talks about the struggle of a boy from his village, who is plagued by caste and class-based atrocities.

Venkatesh played the lead role in the Telugu remake of the hit Malayalam film Drishyam 2. It was released on OTT. The story, set six years after the events of the first film (Drishyam), saw most of the lead actors reprising their roles.
