Hannity attacks Joe Biden for giving Taliban a chance to ‘hostage situation’ upon US withdrawal

Sean Hannity condemns the president Joe Biden To create a ‘massive hostage situation’ on plans to withdraw from Afghanistan Despite warnings that not all Americans would be saved until August 31.

‘Our fellow Americans are behind enemy lines and fanatics’ Taliban The deadline is approaching in eight days. Great crisis, there is no end in sight. Fox News host said on his show Monday night.

The US says it is still difficult to count the number of US citizens in Afghanistan because not all of them are registered with the embassy. Meanwhile, Taliban leaders have also indicated that they will run out of patience with evacuation efforts if they continue beyond August 31.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Monday, ‘Now, it is our responsibility to find them.

Hannity’s remarks came after US House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff revealed that it is ‘unlikely’ that everyone who should be rescued will leave the Taliban-run country before Biden’s deadline.

These include Afghans who, along with their families, activists, journalists and others, helped the US and the Afghan military.

According to the White House, 10,900 people were evacuated from Kabul between 3 and 3 a.m. on Monday.

They departed on 15 US military flights carrying 6,660 people, as well as 34 coalition flights carrying 4,300 people – bringing the number of people evacuated from Afghanistan to 48,000 since August 14.

Hannity says rescue efforts are slowing down.

Hannity said, ‘Every American who wants to go home can get home, but Joe Biden said last week that I can’t guarantee the result.

‘You know it’s irresponsible? Leaving an air force base, leaving thousands of unarmed fellow civilians helpless to the whims of the radical terrorist group and the Taliban. The only way anyone can access an American airport is that the Taliban allow them and they are not allowing everyone.

He continued: ‘You know what else is irresponsible? Except for the interpreters and translators and drivers, each put their necks down the line helping American soldiers over a 20-year period. Now French President Emmanuel Macron is now lecturing and accusing him of moral cowardice which reminded Mr Biden of the collective moral responsibility towards Afghan men and women we cannot spare.

Hannity cited a call between Biden and Macron on August 19.

According to an official summary of the call written by Macron’s office, the French president spoke of the “collective responsibility” of the two countries not to “abandon” Afghans who “share our values”.

The US readout did not include comment about abandonment, instead focusing on ‘the importance of continued close coordination among allies’.

‘In the White House, how did they react? They change the conversation Americans can’t see the part of,’ Hannity said.

‘Make no mistake, they are evil killers. A few days ago a woman was killed for refusing to cook food for Taliban fighters. A local Afghan police chief was executed after surrendering to the Taliban. Religious and ethnic minorities are often killed and persecuted. Referring to the new name of the Afghan state under Taliban rule, Hannity said, ISIS and al Qaeda have now been reincorporated into the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Speaking outside the US Capitol after an intelligence briefing on Monday evening, Schiff said some may be left behind if Biden does not extend the deadline to evacuate the country after 20 years of US occupation.

“Given the number of Americans who still need to be evacuated, the number of SIVs (special interest visas), members of the Afghan press, civil society leaders, the number of women leaders, it’s hard for me to imagine it all. could be completed between now and the end of the month,’ Schiff said.

The fate of the evicted is also in the hands of the Taliban, who remain opposed to the expansion.

“You could say it’s a red line,” Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen told Sky News in an interview on Monday.

“If the US or the UK were to ask for additional time to continue the evacuation – the answer is no,” Shaheen said. ‘Or it will have consequences.’

Biden began talks about evacuation efforts outside the airport last week, though the US has declined to reveal specific sites out of security concerns.
