International Cricket Council CEO Geoff Allardyce has declined to comment on Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja’s proposal to organize an annual quadrennial T20I. According to Raja, the four-team T20I contest between Pakistan, India, Australia and England is a perfect opportunity to capitalize on perhaps the hottest rivalry of the game.
The PCB chief hopes to take this plan to the ICC and create a system to handle financial issues and better distribute the series’ earnings. The India-Pakistan encounter in the Super 10 stage of the T20 World Cup 2021 broke many spectator records, and fans will be glad to see the rivalry again.
Raja announced in a tweet posted on Tuesday, “Hello fans. The ICC will bring a four-nation T20I Super Series involving Pakistan, India, Australia and England to be played annually, rotated by these four.
Hello fans. The ICC will propose a four-nation T20i Super Series consisting of Pak Ind Aus Eng which will be played every year, hosted by the four on a rotation basis. Allardyce, on the other hand, refrained from commenting on the suggestion and said that he has yet to receive any communication or offer from King, which left many fans baffled. There has been a lot of optimization around the prospect of the India-Pakistan rivalry making a significant inroads towards bringing the game into the limelight.
“We have not had any correspondence or communication with Ramiz Raja regarding any views. It’s hard to comment until we know more about what he’s thinking. At this stage, we have not had any communication with Ramiz Raja regarding his view,” said Allardice during a virtual conversation on Thursday.

Raja had told ESPNcricinfo that he expects this quadrennial series to be easier than playing five bilateral T20Is which is far more difficult. According to him, if three or four countries prefer to play each other in such series, then there is a possibility of earning more in bilateral series than playing each other.
