Gurgaon: Woman ‘kidnapped, raped, drugged’ by former employer

A 26-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped in Gurgaon on Tuesday night. Police said that when she tried to resist, the accused gave her narcotics and attacked her with a knife.

He suffered minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

According to the police, the woman is a resident of Sonipat and till recently used to work as a lab technician in Sector 52 of the city. He was laid off from his job in July. Police said that the accused is the director of the lab where she used to work earlier.

A police officer privy to the investigation said, “According to the complainant, the accused called her to Wazirabad on the pretext of having some discussion and took her to a secluded place in Badshahpur in his car. He tried to get down from the car and went ahead of her. Bade resisted. After that he sexually assaulted her. When she tried to resist, he gave her narcotics and attacked her with a knife. She started screaming, after which some passersby gathered and rescued her and the police The accused managed to escape.”

Police said, according to the complainant, when he worked as a lab technician in July 2020, the lab director had filmed him changing clothes. “She alleged that he threatened to make the video viral and raped her multiple times. She also said that when she became pregnant, the accused forcibly aborted her. We are confirming the allegations. The woman suffered stomach injuries and was admitted to a private hospital. His condition is stable. Another police officer said on the condition of anonymity that we are conducting raids to arrest the accused.

An FIR was registered at Sector 53 police station on Tuesday night under IPC sections 313 (causing abortion without woman’s consent), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 328 (causing hurt by poison, etc.), 354C (voyeurism), 365 Was. Kidnapping), 376(2)(n) (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation).
