“Please don’t worry about the survey. The government is with you…. State Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedi while addressing media persons in Gandhinagar said that the task of redressing the complaints and objections related to the survey is another year December 2020 Will continue till

“Gujarat has a total of 95 lakh survey numbers and there were complaints regarding 5.28 lakh survey numbers after the land measurement was done afresh. This is just five per cent of the total survey numbers and hence the allegation regarding the resurvey process is not correct,” Trivedi remarked about the resurvey process that has been going on for the past several years.

The minister said that out of 5.28 lakh survey numbers that objected, the government has acted on complaints in 4.13 lakh survey numbers and taken corrective action, including re-measurement and issuance of correct orders.

He said that in the 10 districts where there are maximum number of objections regarding the survey process, the state government has deployed more surveyors.

The original survey of the areas under the state of Gujarat was done from 1886-1920. Officials say that the measured and recorded measurements lacked accuracy with respect to the measurements.

Trivedi said that Gujarat is the only state which has done resurvey of all its land including agricultural land using modern technology. He said that digital maps of the land and land holders would be made available online to the farmers.
