Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Jagdish Thakor questioned this on Wednesday. Bharatiya Janata Party‘s (BJPlack of intention to identify all families of COVID-19 Distributing the victims and ex-gratia money, saying that if the government did so, they would “be uncovered”.

Claiming that the Congress would go to villages and wards to aid in relief, Thakor said, “Let the government prove that these figures (of three lakh deaths) are wrong… to the BJP health minister from a stage at Manek Chowk. Answer the questions… An open ground for open discussion… I am presenting an open challenge… We have identified the families of the dead and we will move from taluka level to Rashtrapati Bhavan so that they get compensation. ..we got 48,000 forms along with the deceased details during our justice journey.”
