The Guelph COVID-19 Assessment Center is being renamed and expanded to accommodate people with cold and flu symptoms.
The center on Southgate Drive will now be called the Guelph COVID Cold Flu Care Clinic.
In a joint news release by Guelph General Hospital And this Guelph Family Health TeamThis clinic will accept adults and children with common cold and flu symptoms starting this Thursday.
They say care, evaluation and treatment for people with COVID-19 and COVID-like symptoms will continue.

Residents should first contact their family doctor before booking an appointment at the clinic.
Visiting hours are available from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM on weekdays and 9:15 AM to 12:45 PM on weekends.
They can be reached by calling 226-773-1922.
The hospital and health team are also reminding residents that COVID-19 testing is based on provincial guidelines that prioritize those at increased risk of serious outcomes and those living and working in high-risk locations.
